AF Separates E-6, E-7 Promotion Release Dates

The Air Force will now separate the release dates for promotion lists to technical sergeant and master sergeant. The E-6 release date will be May 14; the E-7 list will come out on June 18. Service officials made the change in order to recognize the achievements of individuals selected for promotion in each rank. The two lists had come out on the same date since 1997. Promotion cycles will remain the same. Airmen in both ranks will still take their tests between Feb. 1 and March 31, and the promotion cycle will still begin each July 1.
