A new evaluation system for officers and enlisteds in both the Air Force and Space Force took effect last month. With myEvaluation (myEval), airmen and guardians should be able to gain improved access to performance feedback, the services’ senior-most personnel officer, Lt. Gen. Brian Kelly, said.
“Shifting to a 21st century IT application, like myEval, enables the department to greatly improve our performance feedback and evaluation systems, synchronizing and complementing the many updates we’ve made to our talent management systems over the past couple of years,” said Kelly, the deputy chief of staff for manpower, personnel and services. “The myEval application reduces administrative burdens, enhances the user experience, and provides leaders with performance data to assist in making informed talent-management decisions.”
The myEval application became fully operational Feb. 4, when all airmen and guardians were required to use the app for performance feedback with a close-out date of May 31.
Letters of evaluation and training reports are still being processed under legacy systems, while the Air Force completes the process of integrating them into myEval.
Other processes also are still being handed under the older systems until myEval is ready to handle them. The Air Force will continue to announce updates to myEval as they become available.
