Airman, Officer Die in Murder-Suicide

An Air Force non-commissioned officer killed his commanding officer April 8, and then turned the firearm he used on himself, CNN reported. The dead men were identified as Tech. Sgt. Steven D. Bellino and Lt. Col. William A. Schroeder, attached to the 342nd Training Squadron at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. Schroeder was the squadron’s commanding officer. The incident occurred at the squadron’s headquarters. Bellino was identified as a former FBI agent, who joined the Air Force shortly after he left the agency in 2013.
