The Army is abandoning efforts to procure two aspects of its Early-Infantry Brigade Combat Team program – unattended ground sensors, and the Class 1 unmanned air system. Instead, the Army’s offices with primary responsibility for acquisition of these systems will assume the procurement role. The Early-Infantry Brigade Combat Team program is aimed at quickly fielding better network and sensor systems.
