The Army is testing a grenade-like projectile that should prove effective in neutralizing the presence of unwanted unmanned vehicles. According to the patent awarded to the Army by the U.S Patent Office, the device would be spin-launched at its target. The centripetal force of the spin would cause weights to open the net-like projectile, which in turn would envelop its target. The device could be used to neutralize flying, floating or ground-based drones.
