Service members will see their basic allowance for subsistence (BAS) increase on Jan. 1. Officers will receive $311.68 per month, up from $280.29 in 2022; enlisteds will get $452.56, compared to $406.98 in 2022. The BAS II rate rises to $905.12 per month, up from $813.96.

BAS II is payable to enlisteds on duty at a permanent station and assigned to a single unaccompanied government quarters who do not have an adequate supply of food storage or preparation facilities, a government mess is not available, and the government cannot otherwise provide meals.
