Campaign To Register Voters Underway

In an effort to ensure that as many persons in uniform exercise their right to choose their next commander-in-chief in November, the Pentagon designated the week of Aug. 31-Sept. 7 as Armed Forces Voters Week. Officials are urging service members — particularly those who will be deployed on Nov. 4, to register to vote now. Doing so will guarantee their opportunity to cast absentee ballots.
