The crew of the Coast Guard cutter Bertholf seized more than 12,800 pounds of cocaine – valued at $203 million — off the coast of Panama March 3. The Alameda, Calif.-based cutter launched two interceptor vessels, which ran down the semi-submersible boat that was carrying the contraband. They arrested the crew as well. Bertholf launched the mission after receiving notification from the Customs and Border Patrol of the vessel.
