Privileges at military commissaries and exchanges has been expanded. Beginning Jan. 1, these veterans now have access:

* Holders of the Medal of Honor or Purple Heart.
* Former prisoners of war.
* Veterans with service-connected disabilities.
* Persons who care for veterans and their families.

The newly expanded eligibility also includes access to Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) activities – to include bowling, golf, restaurants, marinas, equipment rental, movie theaters, vehicle storage, kennels, AmericanForcesTravel.com, and other benefits. It does not include access to military childcare and child development programs.
