On Oct. 9, Congress approved the House and Senate armed
forces committees’ conference report and enacted the Ronald
W. Reagan National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal
year 2005. The act contains momentous changes for active
duty service members as well as for members of the Reserve
Components, military retirees, their spouses and survivors.
