In a Marine Corps administrative message, Commandant Gen. James Conway has authorized Marines to wear the utility uniform in the National Capital Region four days a week. The message also applies to Navy personnel serving with Marine units in the NCR. During November through March on Mondays through Thursdays the woodland Marine pattern (MarPat) utility uniform may be worn with sleeves rolled down. The Service B uniform (green sweater optional) will be worn on Fridays. During April through October on Mondays through Thursdays, the desert MarPat utility uniform may be worn with sleeves rolled up. The Service C uniform will be worn on Fridays. Seasonal uniform changeovers will kick in on the first Monday in November and April 4. Marines may wear the unility uniform to and from their domicile if they are commuting in a privately owned vehicle. See MarAdmin 054/06.
