OPM has issued a memo to agencies on evaluating worksite health and wellness programs as followup to a 2014 White House memo seeking to strengthen those programs.

“OPM is hosting a worksite health & wellness campaign, concentrating on different aspects of successful program implementation. The education and guidance is intended to help agencies increase the availability and use of worksite health & wellness programs to the maximum extent possible,” the memo says.

Each campaign includes informational fact sheets, webinar trainings, and facilitated discussions among those responsible for the implementation of agency worksite health & wellness programs. OPM said it will send information about specific webinars and forums to agency worksite health and wellness coordinators.

The memo contains attachments to assist agencies including an evaluation overview, program development evaluation, needs assessment and action planning.

For more information, individual employees should contact their agency’s worksite health and wellness coordinator; HR offices should contact OPM’s WorkLife office.
