Instructor Pilots Reinstated

The Air Force has reinstated several instructor pilots, who had been suspended from flight operations after facing accusations of drug abuse and other misconduct. Responding to intervention by Reps. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., and Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., the Air Force conducted an investigation into the matter that subsequently did not substantiate the drug-abuse allegations. Reports of suggestive text messages spurred the initial investigation, which led to the suspensions. Investigators became aware of the text messages while conducting a probe into an unrelated matter.
