The Navy has released the continuation pay (CP) rates for the 2024 calendar year. Active-duty sailors who have reached 12 years of service would receive a total of two and a half times the monthly basic pay for their particular pay grades.

The total CP for training and administration of reservists who have reached 12 years of service is also two and a half times the monthly basic pay for their particular pay grades. The total CP for selected reservists who have reached 12 years of service would be half the monthly basic pay for their pay grade.

Service members who wish to receive mid-career continuation pay must be enrolled in the Blended Retirement System (BRS) and request the pay before they reach 12 years of service. Requests may be submitted via the Navy Standard Portal Quick Links.
