The Navy has suspended the selected reenlistment bonus program for the remainder of fiscal year 2009, after reaching the maximum funding limit. Sailors who applied for SRBs as of June 10, the day the Navy released guidelines in Navadmin 176/09, will still be processed. More than 10,000 sailors have reenlisted under the SRB program this year, according to Navy Personnel Center. Reenlistments under SRB will resume next year, Vice Adm. Mark Ferguson, the chief of naval personnel, says.
