Sailors have until Nov. 20 to review their permanent change of station (PCS) orders and negotiate changes, the Navy Personnel Command announced. During this application phase, which began Nov. 8, sailors who are nine to seven months away from their projected rotation date can pore over available jobs and research billets, and discuss their potential impact with family members and their chain of command. Navy officials are reminding sailors that while their detailers will do what then can to accommodate individual requests for new duty stations, the service ultimately will transfer them to where they are needed the most. Sailors can review their options and apply for PCS orders at the Career Management System Interactive Detailing Web site, https://www.cmsid.navy.mil, or by opening the personnel command Web site at www.npc.navy.mil and clicking on the CMS/ID link.
