A British court convicted two London residents April 1, of conspiring to attack U.S. service members in the country. NBC News reported that Junead Khan, 25, and Shazib Khan, had planned to stage a traffic accident, attack the service members with knives, and detonate a bomb. Local police arrested the two in July. The two men are related. According to NBC, the younger man is the older one’s uncle. They hatched the plan because Junead Khan, a truck driver, frequently drove past U.S. installations in Britain. Shazib Khan also was convicted of planning to move to Syria and fight for the Islamic State.
