Beginning Nov. 1, the Army will require all soldiers who enter professional military education courses to meet height, weight and physical-fitness standards that were in place before the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan began. The service had relaxed the standards, taking into consideration the high operations tempo of the two-front war. The standard applies to the Senior Service College, the Sergeants Major Academy, the Joint Special Operation Forces Senior Enlisted Academy, the Captains Career Course, intermediate level education, the Warrant Officer Advance Course, the Warrant Officer Staff Course, the Warrant Officer Senior Staff Course, the Advanced Leaders Course, the Senior Leaders Course, and the Warrior Leader Course.
