Report: No Pullout from Middle East Bases

There will be no pullout from either Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, or Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, both U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and Air Forces Central Command (AFCENT) say. Air Force Magazine reported that both commands issued statements saying as much, in response to recent news reports stating that the bases were going to be closed. Operations handled at Incirlik and Al Udeid presumably would have shifted to Prince Sultan air base, Saudi Arabia, according to the reports.
“There is zero credibility to [the] news reports,” AFCENT stated in a Twitter report, as reported by Air Force Magazine.
