With the repeal of the "don’t ask, don’t tell" policy that forbade homosexuals from serving in the military, three Ivy League schools are reinstating their ROTC programs. Harvard, Yale, and Columbia universities had suspended ROTC because of "don’t ask, don’t tell." Harvard and Columbia both will offer Navy ROTC; Yale will offer Navy and Air Force ROTC. The University of Pennsylvania, Princeton and Cornell universities, and Dartmouth College will continue to offer ROTC programs. Brown University is considering resumption of the ROTC program it dropped in protest of the gay ban.
