The Navy League and Naval Education and Training Command have announced the requirements for applications for the Alaska Sea Services Scholarship. The scholarships will be awarded to the children or spouses of legal Alaska residents who are currently serving in the U.S. Navy, Marines or Coast Guard (either active duty or reserve), retired from those services, or were serving at time of death or missing-in-action status. Those who meet the residency requirement and apply will be ranked according to academic proficiency, character, leadership ability, community involvement and financial need. Up to four $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually.
