The Army has selected two female officers to become the first prospective women to earn the Special Forces tab. If the two unidentified officers succeed, they would become the first women to join the Green Berets. The Washington Times reported July 22 that the two officers have met the requirements to attend the Fort Bragg, N.C.-based school, beginning this fall. They were selected out of a pool of seven applicants.
