Educational institutions that intend to provide services to eligible service members under the military’s tuition assistance (TA) program first must agree with tighter standards. Beginning next March, all such institutions will have to sign a memorandum of understanding, in which they agree to a higher level of quality. The memorandum of understanding guarantees that service members who use TA money to cover tuition and fees are entitled to adequate information and support.
