GSA has partially opened for public view its Acquisition Gateway, a site that provides federal employees involved in procurement with market research tools, templates and other resources.
“The public will have access to as much of the Acquisition Gateway as possible and will experience the same user-centric design as federal users,” GSA said. “The Gateway will enable that access while protecting the integrity of critical federal data and the security of private information supplied by contractors and others.”
Access will be restricted to prevent disclosure of information that would implicate national defense or foreign policy, individual privacy interests or business proprietary interests, it said. That put off-limits sections of the site such as contracts, community feeds, and information on prices paid.
