Federal Manager's Daily Report

The Air Force Personnel Center has announced a

revised AFPCI 36-6, Official Duty Hours instruction

including a policy on credit hours, telework, and

uncommon tour of duty programs.

The revised instruction sets normal duty hours from

7:30 to 4:30 Monday thru Friday, and says employees

may flex their hours, with director and supervisor

approval between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. as long as they are

at work between the core hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Personnel may schedule a mandatory 30-mintue lunch

outside of the normal schedule with supervisory

approval, but it may not be used to shorten the duty day.

Credit hours now allow employees to work up to two extra

hours and up to eight on Sunday to build up leave — but

those hours must be worked between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

and be requested in writing before being worked. A

maximum of 24 credit hours may be earned in a pay period.

The instruction is posted on the AFPC Intranet under

“publications and IMT-Forms” –
