OMB has issued additional budget guidance and information requests on select management agenda cross-agency-priority goals that agencies should include for fiscal 2016 budget submissions.
Agencies are only required to provide information where the request applies to all agencies, or where the agency is explicitly listed. For example, 15 agencies such as the USDA, the VA and OPM were asked to highlight activities designed to improve customer service, while eight agencies such as Treasury and DHS, were asked to identify how their budget submissions support a commitment to shared services.
All agencies were asked to give five examples of how they are opening up government data to fuel entrepreneurship, drive innovation, and foster scientific discovery. Agencies were also asked to give examples related to smarter IT delivery, strategic sourcing, and for benchmarking core agency operations related to financial management; certain agencies should do so for federal real property operations as well.
