The new purchase agreements allow a single vendor to manage a variety of a federal agency’s existing and newly purchased equipment and related services and products, GSA said.
It said the FSSI for print management solutions also enable agencies to implement Executive Order 13589: Promoting Efficient Spending, Executive Order 13423: Strengthening Environmental, Energy, and Transportation Management, and Executive Order 13514: Federal Leadership in Environmental, Energy, and Economic Performance.
“Rather than multiple, disparate approaches across an organization, agencies now can better manage their entire print fleet in a more consolidated way, reducing the number of stand-alone contracts,” said Federal Acquisition Service commissioner Tom Sharpe.
“Unlike typical strategic sourcing solutions, the main cost reduction potential from MPS is not simply from better pricing established by the contract itself,” he added.
