Federal Manager's Daily Report

Civilian and active duty officers can now apply for intermediate and senior developmental education opportunities, Air Force Personnel Center has announced.

It said intermediate programs include the Air Command and Staff College, Air Force Institute of Technology, international services program opportunities, and a variety of fellowship and internship programs, while senior programs include Air Force and defense fellowships, Army War College, Air Command and Staff College with an Air War College follow-on, international services senior development program opportunities, and others.

The application process for officers is through the AFPC secure online form (#3849), accessible through the Air Force Portal or via the myPers website. Eligible officers and their senior raters will reportedly have access to the form through April 4.

For the civilian process, officers must be nominated by whoever their senior rater was on February 1, the Air Force said.

It said the Civilian Developmental Education Board would convene in September to consider nominations. Officer applications are due to the AFPC April 5, and civilian nominations are due May 1. More information is available at https://mypers.af.mil and www.afciviliancareers.com.
