Federal Manager's Daily Report

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, has filed an amendment to the Senate financial regulation bill that would put in place a registration requirement for certain employees at all major financial regulatory agencies who leave those agencies.

The amendment would also put in place a two-year ban on those employees representing new clients before the agencies they used to work for.

Covered agencies would be the Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Reserve, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Farm Credit Administration, National Credit Union Administration, the Office of the Comptroller of Currency, Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight, the Office of Thrift Supervision, and the Commodities Future Trading Commission.
