The EEOC has opened an application period, until December 4, for federal employees involved with EEO work to participate in its 2025 Federal Mentoring Program as either mentors or mentees.

Becoming a mentor can enrich both the mentor’s and the mentee’s personal and professional lives. One of the most rewarding aspects is the opportunity to share expertise and insights, helping to guide someone who is at an earlier stage in their career. For mentors, the relationship provides an avenue for developing leadership and communication skills, and mentoring can broaden a professional’s network.

The program is open EEO employees at the SES and GS-14-15 level or equivalent government-wide to serve as mentors to non-supervisory EEO employees at the GS-11-13 level or equivalent.

Applicants to become mentees must submit a brief essay on why they want to participate and what they are hoping to achieve.

Those seeking to become mentees will receive a required permission form. For further information, contact EDCON@eeoc.gov.
