The Army has published a new leadership manual that integrates civilian leadership with military leadership. Field Manual 6-22, “Army Leadership: Competent, Confident and Agile,” establishes leadership doctrine and fundamental principles for all Army leaders.
It emphasizes core leader competencies, values and ethical considerations that leaders must exhibit.
Also, the Center for Army Leadership developed a training support package to assist leaders in informing their personnel on the Army’s new leadership doctrine. FM 6-22 and the training support package are at https://usacac.army.mil/cac/cal/index.asp.
