The Army has started an investigation into personnel procedures and compliance at its day care centers after a review of records at one facility found information in the background of a number of its employees suggesting that they should not be working near children.
Not all of the workers were directly responsible for child care.
The Army earlier had replaced the management team at the facility and created a board to review the background of the employees at issue.
Child care centers at military facilities typically are open to children of both uniformed and civilian personnel.
