Federal Manager's Daily Report

Two employees with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms who blew the whistle on a controversial gun-tracking program have resolved a retaliation claims against their agency through mediation, the Office of Special Counsel has announced.

Their cases follow the successful resolution through OSC’s mediation program last month of another ATF whistleblower who also alleged retaliation. The claims are related to coming forward about the Justice Department’s controversial "Operation Fast and Furious," through which it hoped to track arms along the path from dealers in the U.S. to cartels in Mexico.

Two guns tied to the program were reportedly found at the scene where a Border Patrol agent was shot and killed.

The settlement terms were not disclosed.
