President Biden has signed into law several management-related bills that cleared Congress ahead of the current congressional recess:

* S-2685, to require agency reports to the GSA on “personal property”—items such as computers, office equipment and vehicles—declared surplus be made available to the general public; require agencies to publicly report on their guidance on the use of excess personal property; and designate an employee to be responsible for searching through available excess personal property for items that meet agency needs.

* HR-7032, to compel agencies to respond to requests for information from the Congressional Budget Office while requiring the CBO to continue to maintain the same level of confidentiality for the information as the agency that provides it.

* S-679, to help the GAO keep current its publicly available database on agency rule-making by requiring agencies to report to it on rules that are revoked, suspended, amended or replaced.
