The White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders – WHIAAPI, will hold a conference for all federal employees on April 17 in Alexandria, Virginia, focused on educating federal employees about innovative ways to better serve communities in their current roles.
Also, the 34th annual national training conference held by Blacks in Government, August 13 – 16 in Detroit. The theme of the conference is “educate to escalate: reaching your education potential through BIG,” and OPM said the training will feature workshops aligned with OPM core competencies. The conference qualifies as official training under 5 USC Ch 41 and is open to all federal employees. Workshops will cover areas including career development, cultural diversity / heritage, communication skills, financial management, IT, HR management, and more.
