Federal Manager's Daily Report

OPM has issued on chcoc.gov a schedule for agencies to produce a dozen annual reports on a variety of pay, hiring and other issues through the rest of this calendar year, a notice that replaces what used to be specific notices ahead of the deadlines for each.

Among the compensation-related reports are two whose deadlines already have passed–on physicians’ comparability allowances and student loan repayments—along with a May 2 deadline on SES pay and performance and an October 20 deadline for a review of special rate pay.

Among the hiring-related reports are an April 30 deadline for one on non-competitive hiring of spouses of certain DoD civilian employees, a year-end deadline for one on a similar program for spouses of military personnel, plus October 31 deadlines for reports on time-to-hire and mission-critical occupations.

Two reports that likely will look very different than in the recent past are one on telework due April 16 and one on the Federal Equal Opportunity Recruitment Program, due June 30.

In addition to those reports which have been issued annually for many years, OPM recently reinstated requirements for agencies to give it their data on the use of official time by their employees with union roles, and required a new, broader report on overall costs associated with labor relations.

OPM typically issues the reports months after agency reporting deadlines.
