Demonstration days will be held January 29-31, with a “virtual pre-demonstration day” session January 8, under the “results-oriented accountability for grants” cross-agency priority goal of the President’s Management Agenda.
It’s a step in compliance with an OMB memo of earlier this year on reducing the reporting burden on grant recipients by adopting new or modifying existing grant systems that incorporate data standards, moving toward common solutions to support the award, monitoring, auditing, reporting, and other grant-making business processes.
That memo also directed agencies to use government-wide data standards and work with each other to find innovative solutions that ease recipient burden, reduce the number of legacy grant systems, and adopt shared solutions.
