OMB has published a database of federal earmarks for fiscal 2005 that it says is intended to establish a benchmark for cutting earmarks in half.
The database — still incomplete after this initial installment — provides aggregate level data down to the agency account level.
OMB director Rob Portman called the website a "step towards providing greater transparency, accountability and integrity to federal spending as well as the overall budgetary process."
