The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission plans evaluate TSA’s EEO process in response to a request from the ranking member on the House Homeland Security Committee.
Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., says he requested the review in response to a DHS inspector general report noting allegations of discrimination and alleged active discouragement of pursuit of EEO complaints.
"I am encouraged that the EEOC agreed with my assessment of the [IG’s] findings and will conduct an investigation of possible discrimination at TSA and review any possible non-compliance with federal workplace protections," said Thompson."
