GSA has set a regional organization of the Federal Acquisition Service, which combines the former Federal Technology Service and Federal Supply Service.
Remaining organizational details are in place and that the agency is positioned to move forward after announcing the FAS organizational structure consisting of 11 regional offices and six zones.
“The FAS strategic planning process that we will conduct over the next several months will analyze appropriate FAS service delivery points nationwide and may lead to modifications to the proposed organizational design,” said FAS commissioner Jim Williams.
Williams added, “Any issues raised in implementing this order will be handled during that process.”
