The Federal Managers Association has recognized Harl H. Sanderson, Jr., of Beale Air Force Base, Calif., as the organization’s Manager of the Year, an award recognizing accomplishments and contributions in both the workplace and community, as well as involvement with FMA.
His workplace contributions include a partnership with the Navy to house a combined maintenance hub for the Global Hawk Unmanned Aeronautical Vehicle, solutions for disparity among military family housing, and improving the work-life balance of employees with the development and construction of a daycare center.
Among outside activities, he has been a liaison with the community, briefing civic leaders and community members on the positive impacts the base has on the local economy, FMA said.
