OPM has launched the annual Feds Feed Families food drive, which benefits local food banks. Last year’s drive netted some 1.7 million pounds of non-perishable food, according to a memo to agencies, with a goal of collecting 2 million pounds this year. OPM tasked agencies to appoint officials in charge of the program.
This campaign will officially kick off on May 26. Collection dates are June 29, July 27, and August 31.
The Chief Human Capital Officers Council will recognize and award success with prizes to the agencies with the highest volume of donations, per employee. It will also recognize the agency that collects the most pounds over their goal. More information is here: http://www.chcoc.gov/transmittals/TransmittalDetails.aspx?TransmittalID=3903
