GAO has released the titles of a number of reports it has produced but has not released publicly because they contain either classified information or controlled unclassified information.
The move is intended to raise awareness about them among executive branch employees and others such as members of Congress and certain congressional staff members who have clearance to see them.
Many of the reports involve issues such as information security, defense weapons systems and foreign policy, but others are management-focused. These include reports on issues including controls over agency financial data; personnel security clearances; insider threats to classified information; interagency coordination to protect employees in high-threat areas; physical security at federal facilities; acquisition strategy; and supply chain security.
GAO said it will update the list as new reports come out.
The GAO site has instructions on requesting what it calls “restricted products,” for those authorized to access them.
