Federal Manager's Daily Report

GPO is crediting its approach to EEO issues for a reduction in discrimination complaints, falling by two-thirds to 17 in fiscal 2014.

GPO cited counseling sessions and educational seminars on EEO-related issues by its EEO office and that office’s welcoming feedback to improve the agency’s workplace environment. “The office also promotes initiatives and events that bring together employees to recognize GPO’s diversity. In addition, GPO takes proactive measures to address issues at the lowest possible level,” the agency said.

“This is a noteworthy achievement. GPO’s programs and policies are providing positive results, and we will continue to listen to our employees in an effort to decrease EEO complaints,” said Public Printer Davita Vance-Cooks in a statement.
