Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, has announced plans to create a caucus to affirm and support whistleblower protections and send the message that Congress expects “a culture of understanding and respecting the right to blow the whistle.”
Grassley, long an advocate of whistleblowers, would encourage like-minded colleagues to join over the next six months with an eye to the next Congress.
“It takes guts to put your career on the line to expose waste and fraud, and whistleblowers need senators who will listen and advocate for them,” Grassley said, calling for “vigilant oversight by Congress.”
