GSA has announced 21 awards for the third generation Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative for Office Supplies – FSSI OS3, 20 of which are small businesses, with the potential for additional awards pending further review.
It said the awards are for supplies such as pens, paper, and printing items from a list of vendors with negotiated low prices, and could help save $90 million a year.
The OS3 awards ensure compliance with applicable regulations, simplifies purchasing data collection, and could help agencies manage expenditures and measure cost-savings as well as make buying easier with standardized product descriptions for more efficient comparison shopping as well as point-of-sale compliance for automatic FSSI discounts for purchase card users.
