Federal Manager's Daily Report

GSA has announced the award of 11 blanket purchase agreements in support of a print management program under the federal strategic sourcing initiative.

It said it expects the program to save $330 million through implementation of better and more sustainable printing behaviors, and that use of the BPA would provide reductions to printing, copying, scanning and faxing costs that save $600 million over the next four years.

"With this initiative, we are pushing agencies to work together and leverage their spending to reduce costs and improve performance as part of the Campaign to Cut Waste," said Office of Federal Procurement Policy administrator Dan Gordon.

GSA said the BPAs would offer agencies access to a wide range of cost effective print and copy devices and fleet assessment services, which analyze an agency’s current print environment and identify opportunities to lower costs and improve environmental performance.
