Federal Manager's Daily Report

GSA has awarded blanket purchase agreements to 10 imaging equipment service providers under its Managed Print Services program, part of the Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative for print management.

GSA says the program streamlines and centralizes the lifecycle management of all office-level imaging equipment and can reduce cost of ownership, while allowing agencies to make better-informed decisions. Under the agreements an agency can select a single vendor to manage performance of its entire existing purchased or leased imaging equipment.

Managed print services providers will manage existing imaging equipment, including support services such as preventative maintenance and repair, toner replenishment, the ongoing collection of equipment inventory and usage data, and cost management, GSA said.

It said print services providers would manage existing government-owned equipment and/or coordinate with existing service providers for services currently in place.
