Federal Manager's Daily Report

GSA has said its Office Supplies Second Generation, or OS2, program has so far saved $200 million on office supply purchases while increasing those kinds of contracts going to smaller businesses.

It said that through the Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative it has awarded fifteen purchase agreements for OS2, 13 of them for small business entities, which received more than $461 million in sales with 76 percent of the OS2 business.

GSA also recently developed a dynamic market-pricing model to help small businesses in the program negotiate better pricing with their own suppliers, which is expected to result in over $12 million in incremental direct savings, the agency said.

It added that it is facilitating the development and launch of 10 new strategic sourcing solutions for launch by the end of fiscal 2014.
