Federal Manager's Daily Report

GSA says agencies are increasingly using its reverse auction service, yielding overall savings of 23 percent off the independent government estimate of goods and services. It said 22 agencies have created more than 900 auctions since first quarter of fiscal 2014, with auction sales standing at $10.8 million in value.

Other benefits include improving transparency, meeting small business set-aside requirements, collection of data, and reducing acquisition processing time and costs, said GSA.

The platform is available for use by federal, state, and local government under the Cooperative Purchasing and Disaster Purchasing Programs.
